Just wanted a few opinions on what to build next. I don't need an SBR, my duty gun covers that and I don't have to worry about the paperwork. SPR is down the road.
1. I have an S&W M&P 15T I picked up from a friend real cheap, and am thinking about putting the 16" BCM midlength gas, or the same in BFH (CHF)barrel on it to get it to a 1:7 and a midlength gas system. I haven't done a barrel replacement so I want get that under my belt.
2. I just finished my first lower assembly (Spikes with BCM receiver extension/buffer/spring) and am looking at uppers. Again, I'm thinking the same type barrels on a complete upper with DD 12" DD rail.
To pre-empt the first question, "what's it for?", I have what I need (if that's possible). This is a ""want" (to build). I'm looking at the experience of assembling a good, reliable weapon(s) and having fun shooting it. I'm all about practical and mission driven weapons for work. I don't want to abandon that entirely, but want to have a little fun with it.
