Smokin' Aces

I went to see Smokin' Aces last night!

First it's loaded with big stars which is usually a death wish but this was really good. There was lots of rounds expended and some great Barrett .50 cal action!

It was sort of Domino-ish in that it jumped around a lot; several things happening that converge for the big showdown.

I'm giving it a full two thumbs up.

FWIW,

The director, Joe Carnahan, wrote and directed "Narc" - which if you look up the word "gritty", "brutal", or "violence" in the dictionary, you will see the Narc movie poster.

He is currently slated to direct "Killing Pablo", based on Mark Bowden's book, starring Javier Bardem as Escobar, but there is now word when this is being produced.

Me three. We don't make the drive to the theater much (okay, ever) since the baby but if we do it ain't gonna be for Smokin' Aces.

But they're both getting left home when 300 comes out.
