Since the 6.5/.260 derivatives come from .308 capacity case in one form or the other, and the 6.8SPC has less case capacity, I assume that even though the bullet will fit, you can't use a 6.8 suppressor for say a 6.5x47? Looking at the AAC suppressors and it seems the 6.8 versions are based on 5.56 cans and are a lot smaller than the 7.62 cans.

Googled and looked around and didn't see an answer, just wanted to make sure I was on the right page.

My can was made by www.eliteiron.net/ it's their 308 Bravo and was also fitted to my savage predator 223 and one of my AR's I hear not a bit of diff when shooting 223's thru the 308 can,of course mine is a dedicted 308 can so this may not answer your question but I know it works on my rifles and makes it a lot cheaper being able to switch from one to another.

It will work but won't be as quiet as a .308 sized can.
