This is probably a weird question, but I was wondering what manufacturers line the interior of their receiver extensions with some sort of dry lube. I’ve tried to search, but had no luck. Colt and LMT seem to, but BCM does not. Does anyone know about Vltor? Does this add any benefit other than spring noise reduction?

Vltor did not use a dry film lube when I was buying their tubes and it does NOTHING for spring noise. Not that the spring noise needs reducing in the first place.

Yeah, I guess I should have specified that it reduces spring noise when hand cycling. I don't know. I've never noticed the need to lube my buffer or spring. The oil from my BCG seems to drip down there without any effort on my part. I'm just trying to figure out the functional reason for the dry lube.
