View Full Version : Just move to NOVA looking to shoot the AR's
Hi Guys,
Well I just got moved in to the new palce up here in Chanitlly over the the weekend and was wondering where are some places to ring out my AR's?
I just moved from Houston and had plenty of places to shoot but all I can find around here are high price indoor ranges. I am looking for some outdoor ranges and am willing to drive a while to shoot and meet up with some like minded folks.
Thanks
Dave

NRA HQ...albeit its only 50 yards.
MCB Quantico, WTBN range 1...possibly. Check with the Quantico Shooting Club.

There's also Clark Brothers just south of Warrenton.
Here's the link: http://www.clarkbrosguns.com/home.html
Really tough, here are a few under 2 hours away.
1) I belong to an outdoor private range (100yds, not meters) just south of you, but membership is currently full:

2) Right by you is another indoor range that allows rifle(no steel core) and burst as well for NFA stuff, but only 25m:

3) There is a pretty rough, prehistoric range out in Winchester that really is a man park with camping, 4x4ing, fishing, etc:

Join the NOVA tactical group - we still have not got our act together, but...

You might want to look into joining the Arlington Fairfax Chapter (http://www.arlingtonfairfax-iwla.org/) of the Izaak Walton League of America (http://www.iwla.org/). They have a pretty decent range but it's only open to members.

Note about Silver Eagle - lots of post here and on TOS about the owners being big contibutors of Hillary as well as BHO. I sent a letter questioning this myself to them and got a pretty generic, non answered reply.
Donations to a political party are a matter of public record.
Do some homework there.
Would you knowingly support people who would support candidates who would limit your freedom?
Hi guys thanks for the heads up on the ranges.....
I will be checking out the one in winchester, I have a Jeep so will be also looking for a place to wheel and camp.
