Ok, so Ive got a few questions on what I should do for a 3gun rifle.

Heres my current setup:

Bushmaster M4(ya ya, dont wanna hear the anti-bushy stuff)
16in Bushy barrel - works for now, want a 18in Noveske when I get the extra $$
Troy 13.8- MRF-X
Brownells Low Pro gas block
Burris 3-9 Fullfield II scope
AR flatop scope mount(found on brownells)
Magpul CTR stock
PMag(30rd) - got 13
Tangodown vertgrip with QD

My main question is, where do I find a good angle mount, and a set of irons that will work for something like that. The picture in the 3gun Rules thread is what Im thinking of in terms of what Id like to do

Sounds ok for a first 3 gun build, it will work however the optic would be the one thing I would change right off the bat, also, what comp/brake are you going to use?

My thoughts are as follows with respect to 3 gun set ups.

Preface, I have spent a ton of $$$ trying to build the best set up, so my comments come from experience, some on Brianenos.com can attest to this.

The bushy wont be an issue, your shooting practical matches not precision sub MOA precision rifle stuff.
Going with the 18" Noveske, great idea.
Either intermediate or rifle length gas is ideal over a carbine or middy.
The Troy 13" handguard is great for having enough space to present the rifle over barrels etc, but consider using something lighter without the rails (I think the one you have has rails, I run a Tory Xtreme which has nothing but a top rail), a VTAC 12" tube would be a cheeper route or a PRI.
3-9, this might be too much optic unless your running side irons. I dislike side irons as I do not like to break a cheekweld during a rifle portion if I dont have to and swap Irons to optic or visa versa, that said, plenty of people run side irons and a 1-4 or 1.5-5.

3-9 is great if your shooting open and have a red dot for a secondary optic for close stuff. Then Id run a 2.5-10 NF...

Stock, CTR is fine but Rifle length stuff like the PRS or ACE is a better option in my opinion, given the softer felt recoil impulse.

Pmags, great, love them myself, consider getting a mag yoke from Arrendando and couple 2 of them or a nordic +17 extension for those "special" stages.

TD vert grip, if your using it for a handstop, great, consider cutting it down to a stubby length. Personally I do not like them, but I like some sort of index to place my hands in the same spot each time.

Triggers, I run a GA DMR, but am thinking of buying an AR GOLD, thing is bullet proof, I installed one for a friends 3 gun rifle last week. I was impressed.

BCG, I run a Youngs NM light, but any good mil spec BCG will be good to go, I prefer reliability over the softer recoil of say a JP LMOS system. I have a JP LMOS purpose rifle and its my back up, too finicky for me, I like reliability over all else.

COMPS/BRAKES, I love the SJC Titan designed by GM Erik Lund, have a JP BC brake on my back up gun and a DNTC on a LMT 16". The TITAN IS VERY EFFECTIVE BUT LOUD. For the money the miculek is good.

The above thoughts are based on the assumption your going to shoot Tac Optics.

The min 3 x will be hard for fast target ID and engagement from target to target in my mind. A ACOG or Burris XTR 1-4, TR 24 or TR 21, K dot or even the weaver would be a better choice.
These are strictly my thoughts and I am sure others will be by to disagree. Typed this very fast on the go, sorry for the erratic format.

i was wanting to run side optics, then maybe some day a red dot when Im good enough for open class. I have a H2 buffer right now which helped with recoil big time. I wanna get a UBR stock when I get my 2nd lower(as this lower goes back and forth between my 3gun rifle and my SBR)

I was wondering about trigger, and where I can get the side mount irons.

also this rifle is serving as my "SPR" as well as my 3gun rifle.

I won some JP Short range tactical rifle sights, they mount on a 4" rail section of pic rail, at 1:30.
Could also run a set of magpul BUIS on the side with 2 sections of side pic rail at 1:30.

I checked them out but sold them, I just prefer to run a true 1-4 or 6 power optic

triggers, Gisselle Arms or AR GOLD gets my vote.

The pic you mention is my rifle. I too would suggest a 1-4x scope. I'm currently using the Burris XTR 1-4x 30mm it great and the illuminator is very bright almost like an Aimpoint at 1x and all the way bright. I'd also recommend a brake/comp. The SJC Titan is the best comp I've ever used but also the loudest, it's terrible if you're shooting rollover prone like I have to a lot. For this the KAC Triple Tap is the best. It has about 70 percent the recoil reduction and muzzle lift as the SJC. I make up for it with a very aggressive stance and grip.

I would go and shoot a match. You will find out quickly what your equipment shortcomings are. I could tell you what I like or what I would change, but you will find be able to understand better by shooting and watching other especially the better shooters.

Your right, that Titan is an issue urban prone or anything where the ports are near the ground.

I'd love a TT brake, come on Gun Gallery, give me a call some day.

Like others have said dump the 3x9 scope and get a 1-4 or 1-6.
I have tried the side irons and don't like them that much. But you can get it from Brownells its a JP short range sight.

Get some high cap mags like this for run and gun stages.
Also get some coupled mags bases from Spring Precision. They make great mono pods on stages where you can use a rest or the ground for support.

I always bring at least 1 48 round mag, my coupled 30 round P mags (springer precision coupler awesome) and my 30 20 coupled mags. I also bring a spare 30 round P mag and a 20 round P mag. The spare 30 is just in case I have a malfunction and need to reload. The 20 is for low prone stages. The 30 30 coupler is for stages where I can go prone or use something in the course of fire as a rest. The base of the coupler makes a great mono pod. The 30 20 coupler is good for stages where you need to shoot through a low port. You still get the nice mono pod wide bottom of the coupler and you have a spare 30 round mag when you need a reload. The 48 round mag is for stages where you don't need to go prone.

The clear Nordic pmag extender is only 30 bucks

The Springer precision P mag couplers are only 42 bucks or so.

You don't need slings in 3 gun as well.
As for the shotgun. Get a full length magazine tube. For limited or Tactical class you want 8 in the tube and one in the chamber. Get a side saddle and a dump pouch for shells.

Here is my rifle set up. The barrel is a little short for long ranges but the farthest I have to shoot at matches up here is 250 yards and it does fine for that.

I have managed to do ok with these guns this summer in some three gun matches in Alaska. I got second a few times and 3rd and 4th overall. Granted there is not as many shooters up here.
