Given the terrain of Southwest Pennsylvania, finding anything beyond 300 yards is a challenge if not a chore. Looking on NRA, the closest one seems about 3 hours away.

Can anyone recommend a 1000 yard range within 150 miles of Pittsburgh in any direction?

There's one near Coshocton, Ohio. It's right at your maximum travel distance, though.

I'd probably travel beyond the 150 mile radius if I had to, was just hoping to get as close to Pittsburgh as possible.

That's certainly close enough for prime time.

What a dream. I can't find anything more then a 100 yards where I am at. Uggh.

What search engine/directory do you guys use to help find places to shoot?

Thunder Valley is a very nice facility. The pictures on the website don't do it justice. The owner is a good guy, and an accomplished long range shooter.

I just did a quick Google search and turned up these additional pictures of the range, and it's owner, Tom Sarver:

In addition to the 1000 yard range, Thunder Valley has a mile target, which you can see in the link above.

Whitehorse Range near Clarksburg, WV. is quite good, but may be a bit far away.
