View Full Version : DD M4 rail: genuine or clone?

Yo! I got the rail below from a guy who swears up and down that it is genuine. Can anyone confirm? I really cannot tell. If it is the real deal, it's an older model (4-5 years?).

Why not just drop the good folks at Daniel Defense a line and ask them (http://www.danieldefense.com/?page=shop/contact)?

Yours does look slightly different from the pictures on DD's site but yours could just be, as you suggest, an old sample. On yours I notice the different font, issues with spacing on the fonts, and most obvious of all is the lack of numbering on the rails (ie, L19-L39).

Very attentive on front slots / spacing. You're the first person to notice.

I know for a fact that DD manufactured this rail without numbers and with this type of text, but the spacing in the front that you mentioned is still different from the only picture I can find of the older model...thus, my inquiry.
