What ever happened to the Glock carbine project? Was it just a bad rumor?

You mean that project that's been around since the first Glock armorers school I went to about 14 years ago...it would seem Glock's in no hurry to make it happen.

2005 was supposed to be the year it was announced. Gaston said in his editorial in the Glock yearly that they had something new to announce that was as big as the the original G17 announcement.

Well, I haven't heard anything ground breaking from Glock in the last two years. But if Magpul can build a firing prototype rifle in three months, no doubt Glock could as well.

Glock is also now able to manufacturer firearms in Smryna. That is the biggest hurdle in the biggest market for semi-auto rifles.

I was thinking the same thing. I'll start looking for the Glock carbine when I see the devil in poly pro & Gortex.

Yes, I have an order in for my Glock carbine - it is due to be delivered right as the next asteroid hits us.
