And for a mere $1550.00 for a 6920...
Are prices rising again on 6920's ?
Only at Knesek. They are nearby me. They hit the high dollar auctions and do a lot of exporting where money is not the issue. Nobody I know buys directly from them because they are too high. They do seem to do a lot of volume.

The one good thing about Knesek is they usually have hard or impossible to find items in stock. Expensive yes, but when no one has ammo for your wunder stick in stock expensive seems fair;)
So what about the dark earth Colts?
Just posing this as a possibility buy maybe the high price is because they outsource the rifle to someone to coat in a Dark Earth finish?

If I put $5,000 wheels on a $1,500 car, the value does NOT become $6,500.

That's a little drastic. A $1200 carbine that was limited edition/custom anodized would be worth $1550 to some people. KAC increases the price on their FDE rifles a fair amount.

Is that the "New Math" I was hearing about in school? Where you take X amount of crap and get Y amount of profit?

i'm just pointing out that a paint job wouldn't add up to a few hundred dollars added to the price of the gun (at least i hope it wouldnt)

:D i believe it follows the tapco and CAA business model!
Got an email back from Knesek today. They say they have these coming in all the time and that they are for military sales only. Nothing on who does it for them or if they are done by Colt. Oh well....
I'll call bullshit. Can't be a military gun if it is semi auto and being sold on the market. When I went through the Colt course last week I heard that they were doing something with mags, but no mention of full blown production M4's in FDE.

Why would a dealer have "mil" only guns for sale? The mil doesnt buy direct from places like Knesek...? Wouldn't it go straight from the manufacturer to the mil depot/arsenal system?
Don't know about the dark earth look, but this Barrett is real nice.
