Looks like Daniel Defense has their LPK out for retail sale. http://www.danieldefense.com/?page=shop/detail&product_id=164

has anybody built with one? I never paid close attention to the LPK in their rifles, do those come with a notched hammer too?

I've never seen them (in a complete rifle or otherwise), but if they are as good a quality part(s) as the rest of their kit, these are pretty fairly priced. I may have to get one of these LPKs....even comes with the Magpul enhanced polymer trigger guard

Hmm, notched hammer, unlike the rounded hammer in BCM lowers.

the notch serves absolutely no purpose with a shrouded carrier, correct?

does it hurt anything?

I've heard that some .22 conversion kits are grumpy with the notch. Other than that, I have no idea.

I ordered a DD LPK on Tuesday and it arrived today. No real plans for it at the moment (bought it to have spares), but I hear that's how new builds start...

Lindertw, how does the quality of the parts look?

Please tell us if there are any markings on the hammer. I bet they farm out some of the components to other outfits.

just when i get set on buying a full AR setup for my first (looking at a few different models), i see this and want to buy it as spare parts like someone else said but am afraid i may have to buy a lower for the parts, then an upper for the lower, then.....

Very nice pics. Without the hassle of taking more, can you comment on the edge of the disco? Every one I've seen has varied degrees of evidencing stamping cuts (sorry, I don't know the tech accurate term). Such that some of the edges actually look jagged. I bought a Colt one which looks the best of the bunch, but the others looked like the machines needed serious re-tooling (or whatever they do to get it right.)

The fact that it's in stock and it's $70 W/ a magpul trigger guard makes it look very appealing. I'm sure it's like most standard LPKs, if I had a stripped lower, I would buy this..I might buy it just to have spare parts. :D

carbinero - I took a quick look, and all around the edges of the disconnector you can see a mark if you catch the light just right. Hard to explain, but I'll try to get pics of it tomorrow...
