I just found out I will be PCSing from Alaska to Idaho in Feb and was looking to see if there are any members nearby. If anyone knows some decent ranges nearby please let me know. Thanks.

Dude, it's Idaho. Just go out the back door and crank off a few rounds. It's not like a bear is going to arrest you.

Where exactly? Mt. Home AFB? The Naval Nuclear facility? Idaho is a decent sized state, but public land is plentiful, so you shouldn't have an issue. I never did and I was born and raised in the SE part.

Buck- A major reason wife and I are looking into moving to Idaho, West Virginia, and Maine.

I'm in Caldwell, about 20mi on the other side of Boise from Mtn.Home. I have a nice public range about 15 min from me and an excellent members-only 24/7 unsupervised range (and yes, I am a member) about 30 min from me that has dedicated .22 & shotgun areas, measured rifle berms w/steel targets out to 900m plus tactical rifle/pistol pits.
If you find youself in my neck of the woods I'd be happy to show you either or both of them!

I just did my Glock Armorer recert in Post Falls. It was about a 40 degree difference between there and Phoenix.
