Does anyone have independent chrono and gel testing results of the Federal .308 Win 150gr JSP, p/n 308A? Particularly, from barrels of 16-18" in length? Thanks.

No test data but the Federal 308A is death on deer out of my Savage 10FPLE to 300yds. I have been using it for the last few years and the field dressing results on the harvested deer show that its a very quick expander and easily penetrated Thur the deer even on a brisket shot. Average deer weight is 150lbs.

That's my experience as well. I also saw the AAR from a OIS in which it was used. I'm hoping to reconcile all that against some formal test data.

Other quick expanders for "NON" barrier shots are the Remington 150/165gr Bronze points and Ballistic tips in the same weights. I can attest that the bronze points seem to be the most violent expander in deer doing some massive damage.
