Ken Hackathorn Advanced Tactical Pistol

Ken Hackathorn, one of the legendary figures of American practical firearms training, will be presenting a two-day Advanced Tactical Pistol Class in North Texas this fall. Ken has been at the forefront of modern day combative firearms training development and delivery both in the US and abroad. His teaching experience is extensive and he has been called “The Tactical Dalai Lama”.
Topics that will be covered will include: firearms safety for the real world, intensive fundamentals employment, presentations, reloads, extensive and challenging movement drills, low-light tactics and many related skills development drills. This class is NOT a basic or entry-level class and students who plan to attend should already be fundamentally competent and skilled in the use of the pistol and be able to articulate the basis of that skill and experience when applying to the class.
This class is an open enrollment course and TCLEOSE training credit will be available for Texas Law Enforcement personnel who successfully complete the class.
Lead Instructor: Ken Hackathorn
Dates: November 14-15, 2009
Class Size: 16 maximum
Cost: $425 per student (includes range fee)
Location: Adrenaline Proving Grounds Range, 2131 US Highway 380, Greenville, TX
Equipment Requirements:
· Eye and ear protection (electronic hearing protection preferred)
· Serviceable duty grade pistol (9 x 19 minimum)
· Minimum of three reliable pistol magazines (five or more preferable)
· Serviceable and practical belt mounted holster (no competition gear – tactical holsters are acceptable)
· Magazine pouches to carry at least two magazines on your person
· 800 rounds of reliable service/training type ammunition
· Weapons maintenance gear, including lubricant
· Hand held high intensity flashlight (extra batteries/bulbs)
· Optional: Weapon Mounted Light
· Suitable range attire for the weather
· An open mind and good attitude
