I am wondering the same thing. I have had an upper backordered since Nov. 2008. My most recent email (7/20/09) from Todd Krawczyk at Noveske is below.

"We have not seen any parts yet.

I'm sorry but I don't have any information on when we will be recieving the parts needed to complete your order."

I am keeping my fingers crossed that they will eventually complete my order.

I made an order for some .308 parts from them a couple weeks before the election last year. I got the barrel in April and finally got a stripped upper and BCG last week. I have a feeling they're working through other people's backorders before they bother putting the .308 parts back on their website.

That was my understanding, they're trying to get the backorders and all the other stuff back in stock before they put any of their 308 stuff out. I can't wait til they get Vis rails back in stock so I can get a 12.5 switch block vis upper. :cool:

2008 backorder.. OUCH. Would have wanted to get a Noveske.. guess I might have to go to a different brand. :(

I hate being the guy who throws out a "look at my new..." for his first post, so I won't post any pics. Of relevance here though, yesterday, I recieved one of my long since ordered N6 uppers. It's has the newer FA upper receiver so I know it can't be old stock. This ones the 16" light upper, though "light" is obviously a relative term as the barrel is heavy for a 7.62 barrel. I still have an 18" on order (actually ordered it befor the 16"), hopefully production is picking up......

Anyway, Noveske is still kicking out 7.62 product.

Cool thanks guys. I have a 14.5 and plan on buying 18" upper. I just got worried when there wasn't anything 7.62 on the website.

Glad to see they are producing.

KAC is putting out some SR-25 Special Light Weight 20" and a SR-25 Mk11 Mod1 (40 only) at this moment, but at a price.

I emailed Noveske the other day and the response that I got was that they are unavailable for now until they get the backorders completed. Once that is done, they'll put them back up on the webpage. I was quoted end of the year. Hope that helps.

Well this post must good luck because yesterday I received word from Noveske that my upper has shipped! I will be posting images if you all would want to see a Noveske 7.62 :D

Fit and finish is great. Can't wait to get it to the range. Will give a range report most likely next week. The night vision will not give a clear image in front of the Leupold. Any suggestions are welcome. Not sure if it will work in front but put on top of the scope is good for observation of the target.

Got a call yesterday, looks like my second N6 has shipped. Production at least appears to be in full swing.

All are full Noveske with exception to the lower on that Afghan. Its a Colt. So far I've had best results with the shorter two (Afghan and 16" N6). The Afghan harkens back to the days when Noveske used LaRue rails.

Thanks man. I believe that Armalite has gone all FA on their AR10 line. Not sure if they still manufacture slab side. Stands to reason that all future N6s will have a FA.
