after deciding to keep my 1911s, i ordered 2 Raven concealment holsters since eveyone here raves about them. 1 for my Talon. 1 for my 10-8 with Surefire X300. i chose the option X300 with Rail Lock. is that right? the other 2 other options were X200A and X300 with U/P latch. i figured I had to have picked the right one since I have an X300 not X200A and have no idea what a U/P latch is.
Either way I hope I have them to use at a class I signed up for. My 1st.

The x300 comes with a few mounting options, two of them are spring loaded quick detach adapters for picatinny or universal rails. I have a phantom LC for my M&P 9 FS with the x300 U/P latch and it retains very well. I use it for OWB and like it very much.

the mount on the x300 i have goes on to a Dawson rail (a la 10-8). it has a retention screw that holds it secure at the front of the light. i dont think its the rail lock either. guess i'm calling to find out if i ordered correctly.

talked to Jay from malabar front. he informed me that the mount used on the x300 i have on my 10-8 is the u/p latch and is the only mount that works for the dawson rail. he changed my order accordingly and said it's about a 35 day wait. kudos to Jay. i chose the Raven after everyone here raved about them . can't wait.

Keep us posted, I've heard good things about Raven. I am using Blade-Tech and Sidearmor.

I picked one up after searching high and low for a holster for my don't stone me, Kahr TP-45. Got it in about two weeks ago and was quite surprised how conealable the combo is. I liked it enough to purchase a second one for my new M&P 45.
