I don't have any targets to post so I'll just says it shoots well and leave it at that. ;)
The 15th will balance it nicely, good choice.

That's a well thought out build. I especially dig the barrel choice.
Very nice Nitrox - looks good.
I am interested to know what do you have the trigger at?
.. and what do you typically feed it?
Not sure what you mean with the trigger but it is a fixed single stage that measured close to 3.5 pounds.
I feed it hand loads. 77gr Nosler, BH cases, Fed 205M primers, 23gr Varget.
...close to 3.5 pounds.
That's what I meant! Thanks.
Good load, I've had a lot of success with Varget and heavy bullets (68 to 80) whether they be Hornady, Sierra, Berger or Nosler - it seems to be one of those loads that most quality ARs like.
I would use the VLD or 75 gr AMAX but they don't fit in mags so they sit in the box they came in.
Not only nice, but damn nice.
Sweet rifle.

Here's my wifes Noveske Afghan. It's was 14.5", I had it cutdown to about 13.5" and had the M4-2000 SOCOM mount perm. attached for a 16.1" overall barrel length. Randall Rausch of www.ar15barrels.com did a wonderful job. Another shop (name begins with a 'T' and ends with an 'i', in Glen Allen VA) had bent the threaded portion of the barrel removing the Rocksetted Gemtech M4-96 FSr and couldn't remove the Larue rail. Randall had no trouble with it and had it back to me in less than 2 weeks and he's in CA.

Since I don't have an Ops Can to show off, maybe I'll look for the earliest picture of when I used the paracord on the Harris trick to show I'm 10% of the way to being cool!

Thats right! thats the SDI dual supprot.. assisting... inline.... rotory..... gerder.......thingy.......
I bet if you posted a video of yourself flopping out the bipod and diving into the prone and shooting like a mad man we could start a poll on how cool you look!:D
No, no, no...
I mean "cool" because I had done that long before I had seen anyone else do it. That's all...
The rest of my cheesiness counteracts that little bit of cool though.

Noveske Chromoly Chrome Lined Recon Barrel (medium contour). John said this one was the last one he had. This is from the website....
For a test, we developed 4140 hard chromed lined barrels per MIL-STD-171, finish 1.2.2.2 with polygonal rifling. These test barrels were made using 4140 CM and Mag Phosphate finish.

My guess is that the added rail height causes the base of the Eotech to obscure the sight picture, making a optimum co-witness impossible. Never mind you edited your post, now my response makes no sense and is polluting this thread further.

Sorry about that -H-. I was asking the ? and then realized I had a great spot to put my Pics. Your answer helped. The CASV's rail is high, but I thought it might still have some room for a co-witness. I'm just looking for some different ideas for a patrol rifle.
Again, I didn't mean to leave you hangin'.
knucklehead? WTF?
No offense meant. I thought I was going crazy, after I answered your question and submitted a reply with a picture of the weapon photoshopped to show the line of symmetry from rear sight to front sight being interrupted by the base of the Eotech, and I look and there is a completely different post where the question used to be.
I was stupified. It took me a few minutes to realize that you edited out your question and picture. I had convinced myself I had posted in the wrong thread.
I looked, and sure enough I was in a Precision AR15 picture thread answering a non related question that had been deleted. Didn't mean to come off rudely. It confused the hell out of me. I call my best buddies knucklehead mother****ers. If you know me it's actually a show of affection.:D
ETA: Nice rig! What kind of accuracy are you getting with the Chrome Lined Noveske tube?
None Taken -H- I was just putting back on you, You Like Me! You Really like Me!!:D .
I did the zero at 25yds, all 5 rounds went into the same hole. When I started the 100 and 200 yard shooting I was battling 20mph winds with 30-40mph gusts. I was able to hold MOA at both distances. I know it will do better than it did. I'm just waiting on a good calm wind day to try.
As far as the EOTech on the CASV, I'm guessing the only way to insure a good removal would be the GG&G Accu-Cam. I would do the LaRue Riser, but that would raise the sight that more higher. I'm not a big fan of GG&G's products as I have had some of their mounts strip out at the attachment points. Do you have or know anyone that has had any exprience with the Accu-Cam? Hold Zero?
Thanks for the reply.

First upper build, dubbed SP-Arrrrgh.
WOA bolt carrier group, 18" SPR barrel and charging handle. Bushmaster upper. LaRue SPR mount, Leupold Mk4 3.5x10x40 M3, Illum. KAC FF RAS and bipod mount. PRI gas block.
Still not quite finished. It's going on a different lower but I still need the LMT sopmod stock. Need the shorter bipod and BUIS too. I test fired it and got it on paper. Still need to throw some more rounds through it and see how it groups. I gotta say this may become my favorite AR yet.
What kind of can is this?

what kind of chest rig is that? i think i want one.
Does it fit on a standard FS or require a specialized FS?
Standard A2. I bought the suppressor for my carbine and A2 and figured what the hell. I had it out last week. There is a point of impact shift. It appears to be repeatable. I just need to figure out what it is at various ranges.

Have had the lower since '92. Built the upper for around $750 or so not counting scope.

I notice you had the same issue I did with the billet upper. You couldn't use the LaRue locking device on the back of the barrel nut....
Any issues? Any potential solutions?
