My first AR

Bought this back in December before I knew better and there wasn't much around to begin with. I have now gotten it to a place were I consider it done. Really the only thing that let me down overall were the out of spec rails. I really enjoy this gun and it runs great with any brass cased ammo, it does not like wolf to much (need to clean the chamber every so often or it will get a stuck case). Started my next build and it will have a bcm upper for sure

Started life with as a RRA tatical carbine from the factory with-
Tactical carry handle(removed)
Wilson chrome lined barrel
Quad free float rail (out of spec rails)
Very lightly staked bcg
Loctited castle nut
Vortex flash hider
Light weight extractor spring

Added-
-magpul moe stock
-magpul miad grip
-blueforce gear sling
-voltor offset light mount
-surfire g2 led
-compact acog(1.5x24) w/acog carry handle adapter and a larue dos mini mount
-MI buis

Upgraded or corrected parts-
-extractor spring and oring
-staked bcg
I will stake the castle nut once I decided if I am going to put a sling adapter on, for now the loctite rra used has held up fine so far

I dig it! I was expecting the standard MOE'd out rifle I've seen so much of on the "first build" post.

PS, that's not an MOE stock. ;)

Not bad. I see you picked up a few tips here, which is good. Keep an eye on that handguard to make sure it doesn't loosen and go shoot the piss out of it.

yeah its a ctr, def kinda slipped my mind.

the hand guards did get a little lose prior to it even being shot, all tightened back down now.

going to get the vortex taken off, and aAAC 51T installed, and depending where i end up after my PCS to lakenheath, put in paperwork for can SPR/M4, get the EOTech a magnifier with FTS mount, and shoot the hell out of it. that is if we are still allowed to own these "evil black rifles" by the time i get back.
