I have a colt four position stock that is the old style.

I want to change it to a magpul MOE.

Am I going to have to change the tube also or will it work with the current one?

As long as you buy a mil-spec size MOE you won't have to change the tube.

Is the old stock the "1 N" variant? (1 and N marked on the side under the latch handle.)

Mine only has the letter "N" under the latch.
