Anyone have an update on the supposed October '09 release of the HK P30 in .40S&W?
I'd like mine in LEM, thank you...
Isn't that called a P2000?
I'm willing to bet they are focusing more on getting their MR556 out. The P30 in 40 cal would be nice, I'm sure it be in a few more years before it comes out. People have been gossiping and rumoring about its release since the 9mm P30 came out.

The P30 is sort of an updated P2000. So yeah, there is a P2000 in .40 but the P30 thus far has only been chambered in 9mm.
And the P2000 is an updated USPc. I don't see a lot of functional difference between the P30 and the P2000.

Slightly increased capacity (and size), optional barrel lengths, larger mag release and (more) adjustable grip. You're right though, they are very similar.

Not exactly...
I have a USPc and a P2000SK. I find them to be the perfect duty pair, one for the thigh rig and the other as a BU. For everyday concealed carry the P2000Sk rocks, especially with the flat floorplates. The only thing I would change on my USPc would be to add the P2000SK's ambi slide release. I wonder if the P2000's would fit. Todd?????
The P30 .40 is due out by the end of the year. Having said that, don't be surprised if it's an early springtime release.
No idea on swapping mag catch levers. Sorry.

Thanks for the info Todd. When dealing with H&K, it comes out when it comes out.
