Let's see, the violators are here illegally, which makes it inconvenient for them to have their cars impounded. And SF would hate to be unfair to people that are here illegally? :confused:

A quote aftertalking about the 6month "deferral program" that said if they are caught but go 6 months w/o another issue, their record will be wiped clean.

"......unlicensed drivers 'will still be cited. If they don't learn their lesson and repeat offend, the car will be impounded.' "


Well good thing we are gonna give the people here ILLEGALLY more chances to blow stop signs and violate traffic laws because they dont read english signs or know the "rules of the road". Good thing we are gonna let them have plenty more chances to sideswipe a minivan with 3 kids going to soccer practice. Good thing we are giving them more chances to kill a construction worker on the side of the road.

I feel safer knowing these people are going to be allowed MORE time on the road...

It makes perfect sense. Only law abiding citizens will follow the rules for they dare not step out of line. Meanwhile the illegals who only come here to work will continue giving the system a big middle finger.

this also opens the city up to more lawsuits, when some illegal that got a pass kills someone driving the same car that was just stopped, it could easily be argued the city is at some fault, which will only burden the law abiding tax paying citizen this quote kills me.

"We recognize that this is a problem within the Hispanic community, where people working here can't get a driver's license because of their immigration status," Gascón said.

I say we invade, liberate the few normal folks, separate the hot chicks from the rest of the socialists and communists and force them into communal brothels, execute the rest and use the hippies for cheap labor in a "weed for work" program.

Then we won't need illegals to pick oranges.

I liive in Louisiana and grew up in Georgia, so maybe I am missing something, but aren't you supposed to arrest and deport illegal immigrants? When they are letting them call their relatives to pick up their car, do they not arrest the person who is illegally here in our country and violating our laws?

Apparently only ICE can arrest illegals, just ask Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

I guess next when they catch someone robbing a bank they will sympathize with them and recognize the hardships and desperation criminals experience and allow them to phone a friend and come get picked up.

Related question: given how many states accept each others' drivers licenses, can a state that issues a license to an illegal alien be held liable for damages if that alien misbehaves in another state?

Their liberalism has run the state into the ground.

I am waiting for the headline that either Dubai or China is buying the entire state.

And ICE has been told not to according to my friend who is an ICE agent. Only those who are wanted for other heinous crimes are on the ICE hit list now.
