First of all, please feel free to move this to an ammo area or other rifles section. I wasn't sure where it would be most appropriately positioned...

Question:

Is it safe to shoot Wolf Gold Line (or any other flavor of Wolf ammo) in 7.5mmSwiss through a K31? I've heard tell of some folks losing Enfields to Wolf.

Any thoughts?

Wolf Gold Line = Prvi Partizan, brass-cased, boxer-primed, quality ammo.

Send me the brass after you shoot it.:D

Its safe to shoot. I put about half a box through mine. The rest will stay in the box until the end of time. The accuracy was horrid compared to the Swiss surplus stuff and the ammo had all kinds of minor surface nicks and scrapes.

Swiss surplus GP11 is practically match grade. So the "bad news" is relative.

I can't shoot GP11 simply because it has steel in the jacket, and the local ranges will not allow it for fear of igniting wildfires.

The only option for me is Prvi or Wolf Gold because it bullets are non-magnetic. But, it's the really brass that I want for reloading.

That makes sense. I bought Hornady ammo for hunting and have the brass from that.

Might want to keep checking in with Graf and see when they get the Prvi brass back in stock, or just go with the Norma stuff.

a friend of mine has a 7.5x55 and put ghost sights front and rear on it.went out to see what was going on and I put three in one ragged hole out at 100 yrds with it.and was useing wolf gold ammo.
