I'm wondering how canting your rifle affects POA/POI? Let's assume you have a 16" midlength with an RDS and cant your rifle so the RDS is at 3 o'clock. Does the POI just shift in the opposite direction, meaning POI would be at 9 o'clock to POA? I imagine at closer ranges it wouldn't be too noticeable but how does this come into affect at longer ranges, say 200+? How much of a difference would there be if the rifle was canted 45 degrees?

Just kind of thinking out loud here. Any insight is appreciated.

Hopefully someone will come along with actual experience but just mulling it over in my mind, slightly canting the rifle (maybe 30 degrees) to use BUIS sights should have little effect on the bullet impact. Turning it more, like 45-90 degrees should have more impact on POI.

The only things I can think of that would be different is the effect of a compensator or flash hider unless it uniformly dispersed gas at all angles - and the hold you have on the rifle - it would kick at an angle from vertical not exactly rise vertically which would alter the bullet path since it's still moving down the barrel.
