To be fair every religion has its crazies. There are plenty of "christians" who do this type of thing to. Just seems to happen at a higher per capita basis with Islam.

It's not a religion thing so much as a cultural thing. Culture dies a hell of a lot harder than religion does...which is why you see so many cultural norms finding their way into religions.

Which makes it a religious thing. Many of the attitudes of nomadic Arabic barbarians were codified as "from Allah's lips to Mohammad's ears" suras in the Koran.

Yikes lets not even get started on the Sex offender Registry. That is an argument that would surpass Abortion and religion in how heated it would get.

I agree it does not sound culturally acceptable to us, but like variable said, I am much more concerned about what is going on here then this old dude doing what over 50% of men in this country want to do from the time they turn 50.
