Now that the barrel nut is on I check everything for straightness. As you can see here the nut and the tube are pretty damn straight.

Now I lay the rail on the bench and install the barrel and upper. This was fairly easy, the hard part came when tightening down the screws and getting everything lined up.

I place the bottom portion of the rail in place and tighten everything down.

With the rail system installed I went ahead and bolted the front and rear MBUS's in place and installed the BCG. At this time I checked the headspace and the firing pin protrusion.

The finished product is now ready to go. My wife and I estimated that the total time for this project was just over an hour which included the time to stage the shots.

Not for the moment. I may actually sell this one. I still have at least 3 more than I can slap together.
