View Full Version : Recommend a good soft side case
I'm in the market for a good soft side carrying case for my 16" carbine. Would also like to be able to carry a Warsaw length AK 47 in the same case at the same time as well, with plenty of room for mags and accessories for each rifle. Don't know if there's anything like that out there or not. Must be well made and able to take a beating. Doesn't need to be discreet.
I have a Discreet case by BlackHawk for my 16":

I'm certain there are more, these 2 came to mind first.
ETA: here's a post for a Tactical tailor case:

Eagle Industries. TT would be GTG too.
I've been satisfied with Galati Int'l..
I have been happy with this! Has plenty of room for two rifles and some gear.. I went with black so that it blends in the cargo in my RR...

Last I knew, that was an EI case.
EI quality, and LT shwag. Bonus.
I'm a fan of the DAP carry cases from Blue Force Gear.

Yes, you are correct. I also like that they have a hard case for it for travel. The swag is always a nice bonus!:D
I SHOT. The zippered pocket on the side is large enough to hold a back upper, no problem.
Larue/Eagle Discreet case would be my suggestion

The DAP gear looks interesting, and BFG is worthy of high confidence. Is that case available in a ~32-34" length for assembled 16" carbines, or just the short version for SBRs and the broken down carbines? Plans for same?

Right now it's only available in the 28 inch version. What I like most is the color availability.
It's not a double case (wouldn't that be getting a little heavy?) but I did find a dandy single style case from Cheaper than Dirt that is still in their catalogue. The M4 sized one was about $47 when I bought it, and I bought two others as gifts. They also had a larger version of it for full sized battle rifles. I already had Brownell's carbine case at the time but this was just better all the way around. I am VERY pleased with the quality in all respects.
For all I know CTD (or that maker) may make a double case. If so it would be good enough for me. And I'm pretty particular.
iam still looking but this is the far best one i found.
still deciding to buy it or not.

however, their customer service is low. hard to get hold of with email. never tried phone. and expensive.
