Can someone please tell me the proper measurement from the contour that holds the handguard cap to the center (or edge) of the gas port on a 16" M4 barrel? Please don't direct me to ar15.com, it's useless in this instance. I've asked around everywhere and can't get a straight answer. I need someone with barrels to compare or something or a barrel blueprint that's not CAD. Thanks.

Thanks. Mine is around .220" to center. Things are starting to make sense now.

Big fan of the KX3 "flaming pig" flash suppressor BTW...

Forgot to ask... This is a standard measurement right? Should be within a 100th or so on any brand right?

plus or minus .005"

That is the standard for use with a FSB and handguard cap.
Our Stainless barrels are made to fit our gas blocks without the HG cap so they are different.
