This from the glock parts storage in the glock hole thread...I have never seen it before.

Anybody running one and what do you think of it?

A fix without a problem. With the size of the hole in the Glock's handle, who need's a magwell? (Finally grew up after shooting IPSC for 15 years :D)

90 bucks seems a bit steep for what it is, I use the grip plug that was 7 bucks and im pretty sure this is not going to function any better.
I do like the glock plug, keeps from hanging up on reloads

Dale is good people. In fact, he was at one of my forum's events and my friend locked my keys in the car, and Dale slim jimmed the car for me. LOL I still owe him for that one. I'm sending my Glock to him just as soon as I buy it. ;) lol I have handled his products before and he does an excellent job with his custom work.

Dale is a great guy. Just about everyone that shoots IDPA at the range I work for has sent their pistol to him. I had him take the beavertail off of my M&P. Prices are reasonable too.

kind of a neat idea.. the mag can get hung up a little on the back area of the well. i like that it doesn't make it look like a goofy race gun too :D

It depends. The Sevigny Speedway gets rid of the unwanted edges inside the magwell. My friend Ernest Langdon (IDPA/USPSA Master class shooter) says he can reload S&W M&P pistol faster than a Beretta and SIG. I agree, I can reload my M&P Pro almost as fast as my STI with a 'The Cape' magwell. I find magwells just allow you to be a little more sloppy presenting the magazine.

Dave Sevigny reloads pretty damn fast. He's not human anyway but I'm sure the magwell helps at least a little.

I've shot several matches over the years where Dave was shooting before he tried the magwell. He was just as fast. Just as he is in IDPA SSP division where no magwells are allowed. I used to shoot SVI's with bigmouth magwells years ago when I still played IPSC and could consistanty hit a .75 - 1.25 second reload (of course, with USPSA rules, one could have a mag located at the center of their belt buckle). Over the years I got rid of the competition only equipment and with practice, can consistantly hit a 1.25 - 1.75 second reload from concealment with the mags behind the hip on my Glocks with no magwell. It boils down to practice.

Sure, you can buy some advantages to help win in competition, but hope that you never need more polished skills if the need should arise where the SHTF and you are carrying a gun with no magwell, extended mag release, tungsten guide rod, etc.
