Ok guys,
I'm just wondering WHICH LMT M4 is their version of the Colt 6920??? Also, IS IT available to the civilian market???? I heard SOME LMT products were NOT available to civilians, so I would like to know IF LMT has an M4 that is available to civilians, and if so, is it the same as a Colt 6920???

Secondly, as far as Colt goes. I have always wondered what is the difference between the 6921, and the Colt R077????

I mean, the 6921 is the 14.5" bbl M4. It's basically a 6920 with a shorter bbl.
However, I stumbled upon these two shown in the link below as "LE Carbine" and "M4 Carbine", and I'm wondering what the differences are???? I'm referring to the BOTTOM TWO models in the link. "LE Carbine" and "M4 Carbine".. Can anyone tell me the difference between the 6921 AND the RO77?? Hint: To find the model #'s on the website, click on either "LE Carbine" or "M4 Carbine" and scroll down to the bottom right of each page, and you will see the model #'s shown... Can anyone tell me the difference???

The LMT 16" or 14.5" M4 is going to be VERY close to a 6920. The main difference is that the 6920 comes with an H or H2 buffer and LMT lowers only come with carbine buffers. You also cannot buy a complete LMT weapon (which as actually better as you will save money).

One or the Dealers on AR15.com Randel Ranch www.ar15barrels.com ,said that the new 10.5'' Uppers was Parked under the the front sight and had tapper pins in the ''F'' front sight sight.

Colt RO numbered rifles are usually fully automatic (or some variation thereof) and have .155 diameter fire control pins.

No we do not phosphate under our front sight bases or use tapered pins.

I think the "does not park under the front site base" to be one of the funniest random bit of innane trivia ever. Totally cosmetic BS, no park probably gives a better fit & seal anyhow. No park certainly never hurt the reams of CQBR uppers laying spank all over the GWOT.

Exactly. I've never heard of a barrel eroding/rusting away because of the lack of phophate/parkerizing under the FSB. I also prefer the non-tapered pins that LMT, RRA and a few other barrel makers use. They're a whole lot easier to remove than normal tapered pins. I add a tiny dab of green Loc-Tite when reinstalling them.

I get sick of hearing that LMT doesn't park under the FSB. It's a none issue. Some folks make that a deal breaker at TOS, and the subject comes up almost daily. What's really funny is, the people that should be worried about rust the most (NSW), are issued them. You're right, LMT parkerizes after the FSB has been installed and it most likely provides a better seal between the FSB and bbl.

"laying spank"..... I like that. :D

I`ll tell you this much, since Gene Swanson has replaced Chip Witt over at LMT as the QC manager, the quality is even better than before. You LMT dealers will know exactly what I mean.;)

I agree
The question was what are the differences between the Colt and LMT and one of them is the fact that LMT doesn't park under the FSB.
All i did was bring up this FACT.
I run both Colt and LMT and don't have any issue with either.

I am not trying to sound like a smart-alek but have you called Colt, I have talked with them a couiple of times in the past few days and they are pretty nice on the phone and had all kinds of tech/spec info.

I would think the biggest difference is Full-Auto and then the shorter barrel.

I hope you figure it out...:)
