I have a S&W M&P with a Magpul stock. I am trying to remove the locking nut but S&W punched slots in the plate to lock it into the nut. I tried a wrench and it acutally bent the wrench! Any know way other than grinding with a Dremel to get this loose...Thanks.

IMHO the M4 stock wrench from www.specializedarmament.com works best for this task using a 1/2" breaker bar.

S&W puts their nuts on tight!!!

It takes some major elbow grease to get it off.

I would take Robb's advice and get the one from Specialized Armament. He would know.

If you're just trying to remove the stock, you don't have to remove the entire receiver extention. You can slide the stock off the butt end by pulling down on the adjusting latch pin (assuming it's a CTR). Just in case you didn't know...:)
