Nope, purchase a couple of new ones.
Was the spring like that before you removed it from the extractor?
Also, what brand BCG?

That does not look like mine.
Looks like at some point, someone inexperienced tried to remove the spring by pulling on it with needle nose pliers. It shouldn’t look deformed and stretched.

I guess it needs replacement now :(. Haven't tested the BCG yet.
Easy fix. Buy the extractor upgrade kit from BCM. It's GTG.

+1 on this!
The (very) cheap $5 extractor upgrade from BCM is an outstanding and affordable upgrade that goes a very long way in making your carbine much more reliable if it's one of the lower tier brands.
I'd personally just pay the $30 to get the complete BCM bolt upgrade/rebuild kit.
You'd be surprised just how much more reliable your carbine can be with such "wallet-friendly" upgrades if you get the right ones from reputable manufacturers like BCM.

Apologize for the newbie question, but what is the proper way to remove and re-install the extractor spring. Thanks
