Here's an interesting show (I thought) called Surving Disaster hosted by Cade Courtley that I've watched only twice. One is on Home Invasion and the other was on a Mall Shooting.

Hurricaine was very entertaining -- complete with alligator attack.

Any show on a govt set on bankruptcy, becoming more and more tyranical led by a socialist bent on imposing socialized medicine and spreading wealth?

I'm assuming that it's still airing. I've never heard of this show before until I stumbled upon it while "surfing" Comcast.

I have been watching it on Comcast On-demand and after several different episodes the information and tactics used are very questionable with too many assumptions on how others will interact and support your efforts. I truly doubt common run of the mill shoppers as in the mall shooting episode would have the skills and bravery needed to act as a small fire team and run and gun with the active shooters armed with AK-47's as shown.

I always carry, and my situation awareness seems to be at its peak when I'm in a mall. I especially dislike the Wal-Mart in our mall. When I'm out shopping, I devise scenarios for "What if I had no weapon."? One of them sends me first to the toy isle for a super soaker, and the to get a respirator. Then equal parts Bleach and Ammonia are in the soaker and sprayed on the enemy. The fumes mimic the effects of Phosgene, Gnarley stuff. Silly string makes a decent 12' reach Flame thrower, they probably changed the formula though unfortunately. Thanks for shareing the "Disaster" videos. I was bored until now. Now I have a whole night of Pop-corn crunching theoretical scenarios to ponder.

Me and the wife will never go near any major people gathering point such as Malls and Large Retail Stores without both being armed. We both carry spare ammo and always look around for exits and keep a eye on people around us who appear not to fit in with the crowd.

Back on a Los Vegas trip a few years ago I spotted the shooter that shot up New York/New York casino outside on a pedestrian cross walk which linked the MGM Grand and New York/New York casinos with each other. This was about five minutes before he entered New York/New York and started shooting. He just looked so out of place it set off all the alarms in my head so me and the wife changed direction from New York/New York and headed over to wards MGM Grand away from this guy. I started to look for a cop or security person to no avail and that fast the guy shot up the other casino. http://travel.latimes.com/articles/la-trw-vegasshooting6jul06 Both me and the wife was unarmed at the time as it was a night mare trying to check are guns at the air port in Philadelphia and had to have a family member pick them up before we could travel. Some Air lines will not let you check a firearm in your baggage even tho you followed every legal protocol which states you can. Ever since that day we both carry 100% of the time when we leave the house.
