i used the tool that hooks under the mag well and took off the plastic handguards to replace with a 2 piece rail.
but now the delta ring doesnt hold much/any tension? maybe i put too much pressure on the springs and weakened them? but i dont see how, this doesnt seem like it should be a problem...is there something im missing?
do i need to re-align the parts inside the delta ring somehow since there is no gas tube holding them in place?
this is on a .22 upper with no gas tube by the way. i see that the springs and other parts are spinning freely if that would have anything to do with it. but there is clearly almost no tension, the delta ring sags all the way down to the receiver, well below the "spikey ring" around the barrel.
