Oh, I'm sure we'll throw our hat into the ring. As far as I'm aware, the PMAG is the only polymer magazine currently being procured by the U.S. military through the NSN system, and is certainly the most prolific. Hell, some of the units fielding SCARs are using PMAGs already...

It would be short sighted for the military to procure an untested weapons system component that is vital to the operation of their firearms. They should develop their own proprietary magazine. I am sure it would be cheaper and more effective to develop a new magazine rather than purchase an expensive of the shelf item designed merely for recreational use such as the PMAG.

Who makes the mags for the SCAR now? Are they modded USGI?
Will it except most conventional (Pmags, TD, USGI) mags?
