Personal Transfer F4, suppressor, mailed on 1/31/07. Approved 3/2/07.

30 days, excluding the end date. Which means that including transit time and weekends, they were SMOKING fast!!!

21 days, private transfer, was the fastest for me: EVO-9.

I have one that will be mailed: 08 March 2007, another private: YHM QD Phantom.

So, I'll see...

Most of mine were all 30 days on Personal and Trust transfers. My quickest was 21 days on a suppressor Trust transfer.

I haven't kept track of the times once I have the object in my possesion, but most have taken about a month. I just sent off another, and likely my last for quite awhile, last week and am hoping for another fast turnaround. All of mine have been on a trust.

Don't we already have a thread like this somewhere?

Sounds like a Trust, Corp, or LLC application time.

Why are some of you guys buying and getting the applications through a Trust,

What's the benefit over getting it personally. Does it have something to do with leaving the items to your surviving family.

The Trust saves you from having to worry about the local sign off and Finger Printing... so a the very least will save you this time.

Pick up a copy of the March (I think) copy of Small Arms Review. The attorney who set up my trust wrote an article in it that answers virtually all of the questions people have about them.

In short, with a trust you don't have to get a CLEO signoff, don't have to pay annual fees and taxes like you do with a corp, and your heirs have an easier time transferring the items when you die.
