Nice Zak!

Have you ever shot that with less than Expensive ammo?

I am thinking of making a 12.5 with Noveske BBL and their Krink, along with a 12" LT Rail and i already have the lower (RRA) with Magpul CTR Stock.

I am really wondering how reliable these shorties are. I kind of want a 10.5, but maybe the 12.5's are a bit more reliable??

Any reliability thoughts are appreciated too!!

I don't have mine together yet (waiting on a Larue 9.0), but a few reasons I changed my mind from 10.5" to a 12.5" barrel are:

- the 12.5" with an A2 is about the same length as a 10.5" with a KX3

- weight of the two is probably about the same - 10.5/KX3 might actually be more muzzle heavy

- I can use an OPS 15th model suppressor with the 12.5", which will be about the same length as a muzzle mounted can on a 10.5"

- the 12.5" Noveske will give me roughly equal velocity to a 14.5" chrome-lined M4 barrel

- if anything, the 12.5" should give me a little better reliability with SAAMI spec ammo

My 12" Noveske has been 100% reliable. I have only used XM and BH in it.

Zak:

What rail length is that, 9?

Do you ever shoot with only the irons and if so, how does it do? It looks like you have Troys on there and that is what I want, Troys.

Was yours built by Noveske or just a Noveske BBL? I was planning on buying a Noveske BBL and CMT upper and either assembling myself of having it put together by Grant, as I will buy most of the parts from him too.

Thanks!

Jon

That's a 9.0. I recently put a 10" on.

I rarely shoot just irons. I always leave the front BUIS up when shooting a dot.

I strongly recommend having Noveske build the entire upper.

So did Steve already burn all the paint off of the SF for you or what?

You work for Steve or the UPS?? :p

Nope, Steve didn't do the burning. All the rounds down it are mine except for a few demo rounds. The Gunkote they use didn't seem to like getting real warm on a 10 degree day. It started flaking badly and really looked like crap so we bead blasted it. It work for UPS, Steve is a friend I give all the money my wife doesn't know about to.
