5.11 CUB (Curved Utility Blade) issue

I was reading on another forum and some guys were having an issue with their CUBs.
The blade would come unlocked when the knife was gripped.
The orginal Bladetech Karambit does NOT have this problem.

Be advised in addition to the caveat you have graciously depicted, the PAKAL Grip gives up several vital inches of reach comparatively to the Sabre grip.

Analogous to a Rifle vs. Handgun...;)

I just cannot find any use for that knife. When it comes to lopping off digits, I'd rather invest in something a bit more than a one dimensional weapon.

Were I to acquire such a specialty piece, it most certainly wouldn't say "5.11" on it.

solve the problem and buy an Emerson Karambit.
Those style knives have only very specialized uses. The only thing that I think they are practical for is carried on the off-hand side front pocket, the karambit folders with the Wave are good, one hand opening back-up knives. One of the only folders that allow you to hang onto the knife and still get a two-handed grip on your handgun too.

I wouldn't purchase a 5.11 knife for starters. The one depicted seems to have no real use other than to say "look what I have."
