Wow.. that was a mouthful.
Ive talked to Bruce on the phone about this weapon, and he told me that he beleives that he built this for a Marine Corperal who was friends with the son of a Friend of Bruces, force recon or something similar, but I cant recall exactly what. The gun was built in 1989, and I have a copy of the letter Bruce included with the gun, as well as the original box and styrofoam insert, but no manual.
Im unsure of all the parts used, but I can tell you that the barrel, bushing, and hammer are original, and the magazine appears to be as well. Its quite accurate, and hasnt had a single hickup for the few hundred rounds Ive fired it.
Theres nothing wrong with the weapon a good refinishing wouldnt cure, and I like it well enough, I just cant get used to the sights, and Im having second thoughts about altering it in any way as originally planned. I figure there may be a collector out there who might want to ad this to his stable, and keep it as it is. And I would be just as happy with something else, set up similarly but with better sights.
As to what Im looking to get.
Id like to see $1000 cash for the gun, plus shipping if youre not local to me (FT. Campbell KY Area). Or Id be interested more in a trade for another 1911. I want something that already has Novak type sight cuts, such as maybe a springfield loaded, or a colt series 70 repro (or original), I would not be interested in anything such as taurus, armscor, ect. I would be willing to add on my end if needed, but Im not looking to get into a $1500+ dollar gun, the most I would be willing to go is something the level of a TRP.

Please note the weapon isnt currently wearing the pacmyrs anymore, but I could put some back on if you want them. It currently has black double diamonds with skateboard tape on the front strap.
