SOLD. Thanks for looking.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I have an M16A1 clone that I put together and am looking to move in order to make room in the safe. It is a mix of Colt, Rock River, and Nodak Spud.

The upper came off of my Colt M16 and is an M16A1 with teardrop forward assist. The upper receiver is factory with its original Colt Gray anodized finish. The anodizing is totally intact with the exception of the expected wear behind the ejection port and atop the edges of the carry handle. There is also one smudge on the front left side which does not appear to be through the anodizing. There is some standard operating wear in the upper receiver as can be seen in the photos below. The bolt group is a recent production Colt M16 group, new.

The lower is a Nodak Spud A1 spec lower that is anodized in Colt Gray by Victor at US Anodizing. I was on a waiting list with Nodak Spud for about four months before they had a production run of their lowers. These are milspec 7075 aluminum forgings but they are A1 style, without the reinforcements at the front takedown pin "ears" or in the rear where the receiver extension threads in. The lower parts kit is Rock River. The trigger guard was a black anodized aluminum model that I coated in Norrell's MolyCoat Colt Gray; it is a perfect match and looks great. The buffer and spring came out of a lightly used Colt SP1. The buffer is the period correct Colt bronze anodized model.

The buttstock and pistol grip came off of an almost new rifle (or at least they look that way). The handguards have one flaw - there is a missing "tooth" in the vent holes on the upper part of the right handguard. The anodizing color is an almost dead-on match between the upper and lower. Has the standard look of any factory Colt in that the color of the upper and lower do not exactly match. But it is close. Far closer match than my factory Colt M16, AR15 model 614, or any of the Colt gray AR15s I've ever owned/inspected. This rifle is pristine. I hate to let it go (and I will probably kick myself later), but I just have no room in my safe and I need to make some room.

This is as true to M16A1 spec as you can get. Complete with M16A1 mag fencing and captive takedown pin.
