I just got my hands on a total wreck of a AR. The upper looks like a XM177E2 but the lower is the issue... it has an abnormality! The buffer tube (receiver extension) has an outer diameter of 1½” fitted with a plastic XM177E2 type of stock.
Anyone ever heard of 1½ “ tube? And, is there any adapters available out there that can make it accept normal tubes??
