Pretty simple here, guys. Selling my S&W 442 .38 Special +P snubbie. Looking for a FTF deal at this time.
Fine details:
Model: 442-2 NO LOCK
S/N: CLW66XX
measured b/w .003 and .004 cylinder to bbl gap (my gap gauge isn't any more precise), endshake is minimal, .001-.002, a very tight S&W overall.
I fired this exactly 5 times with +P ammo and decided it was too much for me, I bought it used from someone who'd had a similar experience, so this thing has no more than maybe 20 rounds actually through it. Carried a lot, shot a VERY little.
I did dry-fire it a bunch (with A-zoom Snap Caps) to smooth out the trigger, which is why there's such a defined ring around the cylinder. The trigger, however, is much smoother than when I first got it.
I also fitted it with Hogue Bantam grips (as seen in pics) because they were a lot better fit for me than the stock Uncle Mike's grips. Both grips will be included in the sale, as well as an Uncle Mike's Size 3 Pocket Holster and an HKS speedloader for this model.
Asking $300 cash in DFW area, but will also consider trades.
Buyer will be required to show TX Driver's license or CHL upon purchase.
