i have a S&W 29with a big ole tall square solid black front sight and solid black rear sights. at my advanced old age of 55 i need a front sight i can see better. other than putting some red nail polish on the front sight, and other PRACTICAL suggestions? thanks !!

:)We like to use fiber optic or gold bead depending on the job.

I really like the gold bead on my back up huntng .44. Really quick and tough. You would pick the fiber optic up faster, but it won't be as durable.

The S&W Perfomance Center can send you a gold bead partridge front for not much $$$.

I've tried several fiber optic front sights for revos and my favorite is the EGW. The pipe is open front & back and they've undercut around the center of the pipe so light gets to it in all directions (very bright). They have a center bridge that cuts down on pipe breakage too.

It could be an easy change if the sight blade is pinned like those shown in the photos above. If it's not, it will need to go to a gunsmith. A gold bead on a patridge blade is a durable and visible option.
