View Full Version : Troy 9" extreme rail on carbine gas system
I am looking at making a nice lightweight build and I have a carbine length gas system. Question is will a 9" Troy extreme or vtac rail cover the LaRue lo-pro gas block up completely on a carbine length gas system, or will I have to go with the 11"? Any pics of the 9" on a rifle would be appreciated. If there is already a thread on this I would appreciate the link and I apologize for not finding it when I looked
Here is "Killjoy's" carbine rig from pg. 165 on the pic. thread:

BCM carbine upper, BCG. Eotech XPS. Troy TRX rail, M4 BUIS, VFG (stubby) and Medieval FH. Tangodown grip. Surefire Scoutlight and Vickers VCAS sling.
I'd personally go with the 11" TRX/VTAC Extreme.

That's a sweet looking rifle. I've been thinking about swapping out my YHM 7" FF rail for this same setup.
That is definitely sweet. Thanks for the post. I started w/ a 7" DD lite rail. I found it just a tad too short and I really had no use for all the rails. I figured 2" extra would do it, but damn near everyone seems to have the 11".
I think this may be a clue.
This is a 10.5 Noveske n4 that we built for stock we cut down the FST and put the 9.0 troy battle rail on. The gun is so light and live in the hand it is just hard to believe it is real.

Does that compensator/SBR set off USGS ground sensors when it shoots? :p

Last time we shot the Ohio River changed direction. We call the gun the San Andreas addition
