I suffer from cross dominance (right handed, left eye dominant), as do 30% of the male population. My point of aim shifts to the upper left when looking through irons with my right eye if I focus on the target.
Closing my left eye eliminates the problem but greatly decreases my field of view. I've been practicing left handed, and I may just learn to shoot long guns with my weak side, like Mr. Vickers. The AR adapts well to left handed use with ambi safety and mag release.
I've also tried a scope, which helps my right eye become dominant given the magnified, bright image, while still allowing peripheral vision with my left eye. Have others noticed this as well?
