Ive seen several pics of AR's with engravings on the inside of the dust cover. Some were cool, some not so cool. My questions....are these being sold somewhere? Also, should a typical local engraver be able to engrave a dust cover or is it best to ship it to a company that has experience engraving firearms? Im just looking to add a personal touch to my AR's. Thanks in advance for any help, and MERRY CHRISTMAS!:D

How much depends on what you want and the cover I can get but at the same price you can. Or you can use your old one...

I have a custom cover from him, he does do custom work. I like it, and it's a nice way to inject a little more fun into the AR. He did a good job on mine, especially for the price. It's actual engraving, as well, if that makes a difference to anyone. Mine was rather simple, just some text, but it does look FAR better in person than it did in the pictures. The gunky oil small parts ship with makes them very hard to photograph in detail.

The best part was thinking up something cool to engrave on it. :)
