Removing ejection port?

Anyone tell me the easiest way to remove the ejection port cover?

It should be as easy as removing the retaining clip and sliding the rod out toward the buttstock.

The forward assist will block it from coming out. You will need to take the barrel off.

The ejection port rod can be removed from the front or back.

I've taken several off without removing the barrel, both in armorer class and on dept rifles, never had any problems.

You don't need to remove the barrel. It simply requires a little finesse.
