Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone could give me some good websites to shop for some tactical gear. I'm not really sure of where to go....I'm looking for a plate carrier in particular. So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!! :)

+1 on Grey Group. GREAT inventory. They have a lot to choose from. +1 on the SOHPC. Very nice piece of kit and well liked by all who use it. Also Check out the Mayflower plate carriers. Super nice and light weight. I have a SOHPC and I'm going to be buying a Mayflower rig soon. I'm running some of their pouches now and love them. They have a plate carrier that you can dock their chest rig to, both are very nice and well thought out..

I have a pretty complete list of tactical gear vendors on my pouches blog, http://pouchcentral.blogspot.com.

Tactical Tailor has a new plate carrier called the Low Profile Armor Carrier (LPAC) that I have tried on in their retail store and it is really light and comfortable.

I've been dealing with the owner of SKD Tactical (http://www.skdtac.com/Default.asp?Redirected=Y) since before SKD Tactical was formed. Fantastic guy, unbelievable customer service (even if you don't know the owner ), and some really innovative gear. They're well known for coming up with improved, tweaked versions of major manufacturers' gear and selling it exclusively.

Big +1 for www.SKDtac.com
I've been referring the guys at work to them. I like their ordering system; if it isn't in stock; you can't select it.

Don't forget about ATS Tactical (http://www.atstacticalgear.com/cgi/commerce.cgi?display=home), Blue Force Gear (http://www.blueforcegear.com/), and Diamondback Tactical (http://www.diamondbacktactical.com/), in addition to the others already noted.

BFG doesn't do plate carriers, but they have other necessities.

+1. I've been running the HEV from Tactical Tailor which is pretty much the LPAC with a cummerbund and its a great carrier. It isn't designed for BALCS armor, but will take soft armor and plates. Good alternative to a CIRAS type setup if you don't have the BALCS armor. Can't say whether it will work well with just plates though, I run it with both.
