Hello All,

I'm building a couple of 308 rifles built on DPMS recievers. I have been putting PRI handguards on them. No issues there. The trouble arose when I tried to attach the rifle length rail that goes from the reciever across the forearm. It wasn't close to level. Shipped it back to Shawn at PRI. Turns out that DPMS has changed the A3 receivers and lowered the rail by 15 thousandths. Going to complicate the lives of some of us. Looking at the 2 DPMS receivers I have on the bench we validated that the rail is in fact, 15 thousands different.

Just an FYI.

I would not be sure if they changed or rather that is just DPMS's tolerance range showing up. (huge variances from gun to gun)

15 thousandths should be way outside of any tolerance. Not saying it is, but it should be.

I taked to the DPMS guys and they confirmed that the newer a3 receivers are 15thousandths lower in the rails.
