Mac and Office Live

My Google fu is failing me here.

My wife is considering switching to a Mac. Currently, her office uses MS Office Live to share their Outlook calendars. She considers this a must-have capability and is not willing to force her whole organization to change to a different system just so she can get a Mac.

Is that same functionality built-in to Entourage?

Both Entourage and mail.app will do this. I actually prefer mail to entourage but YMMV!

1. Create a new account within Entourage or Mail, and make sure it is a POP3 account.
2. Set the incoming mail server to: POP3.LIVE.COM
3. The username should be set to your OfficeLive login, and make sure you enter your password
4. Outgoing server (SMTP) should be set to SMTP.LIVE.COM
5. You will need to use your OfficeLive username and password again for authentication.

I prefer Mail myself and don't even have Entourage on my computer. Thanks for the instructions.

So the calendar linking happens via a POP account?

If you use Mail it will interact with the calendar.app. Honestly I am not sure if Entourage does or if it uses an internal calendar. Sorry.
