Title says it all. For those that have run these, any function issues? Thanks.

Was it Dave's Metal Works, by chance? How much does it help?

no its not. i have a sage international on the 1187 and i had a choate on the 870. the reason i took it of the 870 is i didn't like the way the gun balanced when fully loaded. plus i find the 870 easier to reload than the 1187.

I have one by nordic on my FNH SLP and it works just fine. I also have the extended bolt handle by the same company.

I have one on my 11-87 that was installed by Gunsite years ago. The original is more set up for gaming with those long shell guides being likely to catch on duty gear. Gunsite moded them by cutting them to about half the original size. Below is a old photo after I had it refinished.

dm - no problem; it's kind of an uncommon question I guess.

DMR - I am understanding that this part replaces only the silver button that allows the shell carrier to rise. You pic looks like it replaces the shell carrier (long arm/lever thingie) too. Is that actually the case? How far out of the gun does it protrude? Looking at putting this on a piece that will be used in and around the house i.e., pretty slick meaning in conjunction with a sling, maybe a dump pouch, and pistol only. Also will be using it in the hunting field as well. Have you found it to be a worthwhile modification?

The easy loader replaces the button release. Ithe photo abovewas set up for another tread. The standard easy loader hang down quite a bit from the reciever. It sort of serves as a guide chute to get the shells in. I have no complaints with the short set up. The only shop I can think of still setting them up like this is LaRooca Custom. Vandenburg custom installs the easyloaders, buri have not seen one that he has shortened.
